Here in UK we dont get sun often and what I usually do to stop from getting pale and dry skin is to use the left over filtered ground coffee, the exact same one I use every morning! I use it everytime I shower just like how we all use sea salt body scrub! After showered, I’d cover my hair with my shower cap and just scrub it all over my body from my face (but gently!) all the way down my toes! Then just simply rinse after scrubbing! My skin becomes tan, smooth, and even smells good!

When you get out of the shower avoid using white towel though.

You can always use new ground coffee, just add a little bit of water, mix it well and cover, heat in the microwave for 1.5 minutes.

It is not often that Captain GA goes ashore for tours but however this place intrigued him a lot that he had to put on this helmet camera that takes videos while he takes more pictures on his Nikon! Heres some information of the giant lizard or best known as the komodo dragon.

Every time the Seabourn Quest dock in each port when my hubby is on board, he puts them out.   Last year’s cruise, my hubby named one after me, ‘Juvy the Rat guard’ that the crew on Seabourn Gilbert Lagmay’s made. It has been travelling around the world, cruise after cruise with all the other rat guards protecting the ship from the rodents .  However, along the Port Cairns, Australia the other night 22nd of February when the ship stayed there over night, it went missing! It was last seen in the mooring line next to ‘Zorro the cat’ and has been missing since 8:00 PM to 11.30 PM local time.

To those who have seen her or know anything about her please bring her back to the rest of her Seabourn Rat Guard family! Deeply appreciated if you find her!

I’m sharing you a few of pictures from that experience and I am well proud he came in 2nd place , completed 24 laps in 41 mins. and drove like a pro after that experience, VJ came up to see us from London and had a nice family get together again after a while not seeing each other! It has been a good couple of days

We  got to see the farm near the Pit Village up to the Edwardian Town Center and to the Tea Room where we were having a break.  Had fun and we enjoyed our tour. The museums tell the story of Georgian, Edwardian or Victorian living and see how life in the North East England has changed over 100 years from a Georgian Agricultural lifestyle to the Industrial Revolution. 

We will definitely coming back to see more, with GA when he’s coming back home from work! The good thing is,  our tickets to Beamish are valid for 12 months from our visit for an unlimited times of visits.

Admission covers all day time events and activities, including use of the vintage trams, buses and steam locomotive rides at Pockerly Waggonway and Rowley Station for weekends only  Pls. check their website for full details. http://www.beamish.org.uk

Recipe For Summer Ceviche

You will need:

• 1/2 pound halibut, cut into a large dice
• lime juice to cover fish, from one large lime
• 1/3 pound cooked fresh Dungeness crab meat (or any other crab meat)
• 1/3 pound poached shrimp, coarsely chopped
• 1/4 – 1/3 cup chopped avocado
• 1 roma tomato, seeded and diced
• 1/4 cup minced scallions
• 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
• 1 large jalapeño, minced (seeded if you don’t want it too hot)
• 1 heaping teaspoon kosher salt
• 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
• 1 generous tablespoon (plus more if you want) extra virgin olive oil
• juice of half a lime
• tortilla chips & cerveza

Here we are having lunch together with very special friends of ours – Mark, Angie and their daughter Lauren – and Skylar and myself – fantastic lunch and great time!! I don’t know if you agree, but I think they look very much alike (Jessica from the dinner onboard – and Skylar) And then another good one… Lauren and Skylar had never heard about each other nor met her family before – and it turned out they had a common BEST friend!! Again a bike ride through the famous northern seaside town, the picturesque coastline Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and back forth and visit again St. Mary’s Lighthouse.  So much history and scenic views to take in, and as well as an abundance of pubs, cafes, restaurants to suit everyone!  Here are some photographs I’d love to share with you

There are 60 Metro stations in Tyne and Wear serving Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside. Stations are at the heart of both Newcastle and Sunderland city centres. The majority of stations are on the surface, but a number in central Newcastle and Gateshead are underground (Jesmond, Haymarket, Monument, Manors, St. James, Central and Gateshead), as well as Park Lane in Sunderland. Sunderland station was rebuilt in 1965 by British Rail, with the station building covering the platforms, effectively placing the platforms underground, so getting around couldn’t be easier. Metro is convenient, fast, frequent and easy to use, running from early morning to late at night.

While you’re here

- Why not take the River Bus from Putney to Blackfriars, then on to Greenwich? It’s a fast and comfortable way to cross the city, with amazing views – and no traffic jams!

- A visit to Shakespeare’s Globe will set you back just £5 for a standing ticket and is well worth it, as long as the sun’s shining… Or you could see a show in the West End – there are discount ticket booths in Leicester Square and Covent Garden where you can buy tickets for the same day.

- Go and take a look at The Shard - the tallest building in Western Europe, which has just opened near London Bridge (be prepared for a sore neck). From next year visitors will be able to travel to the top and take in the amazing views – but in the meantime, here’s a website that lets you see what you’re missing. It really is pretty special.

- If you fancy getting out of the city centre, Richmond Parkand Kew Gardens are lovely – although not far from town, you’ll feel like you’re in the countryside. At Richmond, you can even see their famous deer herd.

- London boasts some fantastic free museums; we recommend the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, British Museum and the Tate Galleries, but there are plenty of others to choose from.

Useful tips

- If you’re not going far, don’t take the London Underground(also known as the Tube) – you’ll find it’s much quicker, cheaper and cooler to stay at street level and walk. This is particularly true of stations on or near the Circle Line so don’t get caught out! You can’t go too far without stumbling across a station, and there are maps pretty much everywhere, so it’s quite hard to get lost. But if you are travelling on the Tube, get yourself an Oyster Card, it’s by far the easiest way to pay for your tickets.

- Alternatively, if you want to be able to see where you’re going, but don’t fancy the bus, try hiring a ‘Boris Bike’(named after Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, in case you were wondering). You can just pay and go, then when you’re finished, return the bike to any of the docking stations located around London – no need to bring it back to where you started.

- Most people don’t really talk in Cockney Rhyming Slang, so if you try addressing someone as your ‘china plate’ you may get some funny looks. But then again, we don’t all talk like The Queen, either. Terribly sorry, old bean.

- To feel like a real Londoner, just roll your eyes and say to random strangers, ‘Well at least the sun’s come out at last.’ You’ll fit right in.

- On a similar note, do remember to come prepared for all weathers – a typical bag should contain sun cream and sunglasses as well as an umbrella and some warm layers of clothing.

- And finally, food – we have some strange names for our dishes, so be prepared. For instance, black pudding is not, in fact, a pudding but a type of sausage (and something of an acquired taste). Eton mess sounds horrible but is actually a very tasty dessert featuring strawberries, meringue and cream. And toad in the hole does not contain any toads. Honest.

Most importantly, we hope you enjoy your visit! And don’t be afraid to ask the locals for help – we Brits may seem a bit grumpy (especially during rush hour) but underneath we’re really very nice people…
